CSPS Welder Qualifications

CSPS have recently renewed all BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 welder qualifications via independent surveillance and NDT using code a weld.

These qualifications ensure we are able to provide DoP for structural steelwork to BS EN 1090 and also comply with PED and customer requirements.

The quality of welds is very important to ensure both the integrity of structural fabrications and the safety of pressurised systems.

All of our welders are qualified in a range of procedures to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 and these need to be maintained on a 6-monthly basis internally.

Every 3 years we also need qualifications to be renewed by independent surveillance and NDT of individual welder test pieces.

This important work comes at a significant cost both in our own engineering time and materials plus external surveillance.

The key to maintaining this is setting aside the time for training and testing along with the commitment to the costs involved.
